MODULAR AND MOBILE AQUAPONICS SYSTEM
This custom Aquaponics system was modeled off of a described design that was being developed near Loveland Colorado in 2014. A prototype Aquaponics system was being built to fit inside of a shipping container, though still required a number of modifications to efficiently run. After a discussion with one of the system's technicians, this concept was made in CAD to describe possible improvements to the system with modularity in mind. Being composed of a series of custom HDPE grow trays for a variety of microgreens and some vegetables, and different-sized tanks to house fish, all of the components would ideally be able to be set up and taken down easily, on standard warehouse shelving. The system could be built inside both 20 ft and 40ft containers and easily be transported to any area via truck, ideally in response to food-scarce regions. The assembly is intended to be semi-customizable and can function with many off-the-shelf parts.
