Founding Designer & Consultant

The Luminosity Lab

Tempe AZ, July 2016- Present
 

• Founded the Luminosity Design team and developed a model of rapid product development in interdisciplinary practice, using 2D and 3D visuals in numerous competition-winning proposals for NASA Big Idea Challenge, Space X, and the X-Prize. Currently, my third successful design proposal to NASA, has received a 6-figure grant and is in development in Arizona.

 

• Developed and presented proposals throughout 2023, which directly led to the procurement of millions of dollars in grants for Luminosity and being awarded the 2023 “Innovator of the year in Academia” by the Arizona Technology Council.

 

• Assembled and led Luminosity design team, teaching student designers how to work in a cross-disciplinary environment and how to work multitask across different projects on a wide variety of topics.

 

• Proposed and visualized a number of technologies involving the future of consumer electronics in the emerging Augmented and Virtual Reality industry, as well as personal communication and social connections.

 

• Organized and summarized six years of project records, data archives and converted them into client-facing, presentation-ready, portfolios and design logs to showcase company achievements throughout its growth.

• Founded non-profit brand at organization launch and maintains on-going 360 degree brand development effort. Launched initiative to digitize organization greatly increasing its outreach growth rate and effectively doubling donation rate every year.

 

• In the fourth year of operation, the equivalent of 23 years of service was provided to Asylum Seekers in the last fiscal year. In 2023, 27 client families received a cumulative total of 123 months of financial and material support from a network of over 1000 volunteers and currently 350 active contributors.

 

• Worked fellow directors to manage Color, Material and Finish of all printed branding material, allowing the distribution of our material statewide to showcase our functioning service model, which was adopted by the state government this year to launch their own similar initiatives.

 

• Acted as technical support to continually resolve online presence and communication issues to improve client outreach. Designed and managed website, and social media presence to centralize and streamline key company information and message.
